Arsenal fans were sent into a frenzy when reports suggested that Dortmund has, on principle, accepted Arsenal's club-record $60 million bid.

Aubameyang to Arsenal

Arsenal have reached a £60m agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to sources.

Arsenal’s Oliver Giroud, reports suggest, is likely to complete a move to London rivals Chelsea

Sky Sports News  reported however, that completion of the transfer is subject to Dortmund securing a replacement.

The Gunners had a bid in excess of £50m rejected last week, with Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc stating they would only let the 28-year-old go if their demands were met.

Should he arrive at the Emirates before Wednesday’s deadline, Arsenal will be willing to let Olivier Giroud leave the club, with Chelsea very interested in the France striker.

According to sources, on Sunday night that Giroud may yet be involved in the deal to bring Aubameyang to the Emirates by switching to Dortmund.

Widespread reports on Monday claimed Dortmund were considering a move for Michy Batshuayi, who has been told he can leave Chelsea on loan if they sign a new centre-forward.

Chelsea set to sign Emerson Palmieri but Edin Dzeko deal from Roma is off

Edin Dzeko’s deal to Chelsea has been reportedly called off

Emerson Palmieri will fly to the UK on Tuesday to undergo a medical with Chelsea – but the Blues will not be signing his Roma team-mate Edin Dzeko.

Sources in Italy reported that the clubs have agreed a deal of £17.6million plus £7m in add-ons for the left-back to move to Stamford Bridge.

Palmieri leaves Italy on Tuesday and will undergo a medical in London ahead of the move.

Striker Dzeko, however, will not be joining up with Antonio Conte because of the amount of money and length of contract being requested by the player.

Chelsea, who were willing to pay a fee of up to £26m for the former Manchester City forward, are closely monitoring Olivier Giroud’s situation after Arsenal agrred a £60m deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
